Dr. John S. Nelson is a Professor of English for New Media who teaches the Publishing for New Media course that produces this website (and usually produces a print version as well). He is a poet, writer, and teacher who is always amazed by the quality of the work that his students do, as this issue of New Tricks once again illustrates.
Jaclynn Rogers is an English for New Media student from Miller and Huron, SD. Set to graduate in May 2021, she is a member of Sigma Tau Delta, assistant editor of the Trojan Times, and vice president of Gaming Club. Jaclynn is passionate about Animal Crossing, snacks, and storytelling in all its forms.
Jessi Giles is a sophomore at Dakota State University. She is an English for New Media Major and is originally from Madison, SD. She is a member of the women’s basketball and track teams at Dakota State. Jessi is also a member of Sigma Tau Delta, English Club, and Captain’s Council here on campus.
Noah Schuldt is a Junior at Dakota State University. He is pursuing an English Education degree with an Endorsement in Educational Technology.and is from Sioux Falls, SD. He is a member of the Sigma Tau Delta and the English Club. After student teaching and graduating he hopes to teach in his hometown of Sioux Falls. He loves to read, play video games, and hang out with his friends. He also use to play the drums in a bad punk band in high school.
Travis Krakow is a junior at Dakota State University. He is an English for New Media major from Flandreau, SD. He is a member of the English Club. During this project Travis worked with the prose entries and distributed bookmarks for New Tricks. His hobbies include: cooking, baking, reading, and studying various periods of history.
